What character do you want to throw into this nonsensical garbage? Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Have you ever roleplayed them before? If so, post some links. If not, write some stuff about them. Jack is a selfish, womanizing, childish asshole of a pirate captain. He is also the Pirate Lord of the Caribbean, the most brilliant pirate captain out there who has eluded the noose and capture for decades, was once a slave runner and a slave freer by proxy, died twice, outwitted Davy Jones, escaped the Locker, beat up Blackbeard and happens to captain one of the fastest, most well known ships this side of the Caribbean.
He's a crack shot, an excellent sword fighter, a brilliant navigator, obnoxiously charismatic also hates baths. Baths do not happen in Jack's world.
Also deep down under that drunken layer of self love and asshole douche bag behavior is a heart of gold, who sacrificed eternal life to save his best friend, defeated an army of the undead, and saved the life of a woman he only kind of sort of loves.
Last but not least, give us your character's standard "holy shit, I woke up in a mysterious world for no apparent reason! What the shit is going on!?" intro post.
... In retrospect, mixing Absinthe with rum might not have been my most brilliant idea to date. Live and learn, aye?
