... No I'm not kidding, he even dies to save all of his kind, literally honestly no kidding that is the series finale, he fucking dies to bring Cybertron back to life. What did you do today?
Optimus was originally Orion Pax, a humble little data clerk (librarian) on Cybertron during the era where castes were huge and everything sucked. He didn't like this a lot, and he was also bffs with some really strong, really inspiring awesome gladiator named Megatronus. Megatronus went in to be a prime, but decided the best way to convince the council that he was the best bot for the job, was to tell them all how he was going to kick their ass.
Unsurprisingly, the council chose Orion instead, and he became Optimus Prime.
So understandably, Megatronus, who soon just became Megatron, hates the shit out of him.
Anyway, Optimus is super nice, if super serious, down to earth, humble, powerful, not exactly warm and cuddly but definitely the kind of guy you'd want to have a long conversation about morals with. He's kind of emotionally detached from things, and his emotional reactions are dampened, but he does feel them. He's primarily ruled by reason, and doesn't jump to conclusions or do anything spontaneously. At all. Ever. That included laughing, smiling, showing joy bigger than little dork smiles, having parties, petting kittens and giving hugs.
But he is still a Very Good Guy and very easy to get along with, and very gentle and giving. But also a badass battle hardened soldier who will cut a bitch.
Last but not least, give us your character's standard "holy shit, I woke up in a mysterious world for no apparent reason! What the shit is going on!?" intro post.
... I don't believe this is the well of the allspark at all.
